Fireworks are illegal in Newport Beach, this post it to find other ways to celebrate without using illegal fireworks!
Happy Independence Day!Ā The 4th of July Declaration of Independence was originally signed on July 4, 1776.
There is a wide variety of 4th of July activities in Newport Beach. There are community parades, barbecues, and a boat parade. Enjoy the fireworks in Newport Beach as well.
If you are visiting Newport Beach for 4th of July, be sure to arrive early, parking may be a challenge as Newport Beach is a destination area, especially on this holiday.
The Old Glory Boat ParadeĀ on July 4th and it begins at 1 pm to 3:30 pm. It begins at Collins Island and goes throughout Newport Harbor. This year’s theme for the Old Glory Boat Parade is “Celebrating Our Heroes“.
Newport Shores in Newport Beach has 4th of July events and it starts off with a parade through out the neighborhood. The parade begins at the clubhouse at 10am. Be sure to decorate your bike, dog, wagon and enjoy the holiday. The activities continue at the clubhouse fromĀ 11:00AM to 2:00PM. Ā Enjoy games, food and fun.
Enjoy Independence Day on the Back BayĀ – enjoyĀ a range of events andĀ activities, enjoy live music, food trucks and there will be a beer and wine garden. This is open to visitors and locals. There will also be an amazingĀ fireworks display at Newport Dunes in Newport Beach,Ā it begins at 9pm.
If you are visiting, why not rent a bicycle and cruise on the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach. There are many places to rent a bike, one is Balboa Bikes near the Fun Zone at the Balboa Pier. Or try Newport CruisersĀ which is located near the Newport Beach Pier. Enjoy a day on a beach cruiser and take in beautiful Newport Beach.
Interested in being on the water in Newport Beach? How about renting a Duffy Boat. Duffy Boats are electric, bring your picnic lunch and cruise the harbor.
The City of Newport Beach is hostingĀ theĀ annual Newport Peninsula Bike Parade and Community FestivalĀ on the 4th of July. This parade is for bikes and you are welcome to bring your dog, and if you do be sure to have your dog on a leash (bring water for you and for your dog too).Ā Be sure to decorate your bike, wagon, or scooter with 4th of July decor! The parade will begin promptly at 9 am at Balboa Boulevard and 38th Street Park. The parade route will be down Balboa Boulevard to Channel Place Park. At the park, there will be a there is a free festival! Great fun for the family.
Also, there is a fireworks display over the Huntington Beach Pier which begins at 9 pm also. Many residents of Newport are able to view this fireworks display if they are in the West Newport Beach area. Huntington Beach also has an amazing Fourth of July parade and this year’s theme is “America the Beautiful”
Fireworks are illegal in the city of Newport Beach, but be sure to enjoy the Fireworks displays!!
If you are looking to spend a day in Newport Beach, be sure to arrive early to avoid the traffic, and attempt to secure a parking spot. And be sure to park in a legal parking spot, or you will be towed.
