Market Statistics in Newport Beach

These are monthly statistics by area including Newport Beach, Newport Coast, Corona del Mar and East Side Costa Mesa.

In May, 2013, there were 263 active listings, 122 in escrow (back up and pending) and there were 111 closings in Newport Beach.

Note the low absorption rate in the city of Newport Coast last month. Inventory continues to be low.

Corona del Mar has an absorption rate for the month of May at 3.1 months.

Eastside Costa Mesa continues to be a very desirable area with a very low absorption rate of 1.2 months for May, 2013.

    I wonder if most Newport Beach home owners know what it means to have a 2.7 month absorption rate? It means that most good properties will have multiple bids the first week.
