The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is going to be held on September, 23, 2012. This will be our fourth year running together as a team. We are team #1535 – I Love My Lady Lumps. In past years we have had as many as 55 people on our team. It is fun to run together, and knowing money that we are raising goes towards finding a cure.

The following is a schedule of events for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure which is held at Fashion There is always an incredible turnout. Our team prefers the earlier race as it is cooler.

The schedule for the Race for the Cure is as follows:

6:30 – 8:30 a.m. – Survivor Complimentary Continental Breakfast in the Pavilion
6:30 – 9:30 a.m. – Registration  – if possible pick up your race packet the day before the race.
6:30 – 11:00 a.m. – Survivor Pavilion Open for Survivors and their Guests
6:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon – Wellness Expo – all types of vendors show up to provide information and their products.
7:30 a.m. – 5K Run/Walk
8:00 a.m. – One-Mile Fun Walk
8:45 a.m. – Survivor Parade begins at the Survivor Pavilion
9:00 a.m. – Komen Welcome, Survivors’ Tribute
9:45 a.m. – 5K Run/Walk – this is the 2nd run/walk for those who want to run a little later.
