The 33rd Annual Turkey Trot will be held in Dana Point on Thanksgiving Day. Approximately 12,000 runners are expected to participate in this race. The Turkey Trot helps to raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.
The Turkey Trot begins at 7am on Thursday, November 25, 2010. There is a 10K which starts at 7am, and the 5K Masters starts at 9:30 am.
Registration for the event begins on Wednesday from 10 am to 5 pm at the Dana Point harbor, or there is onsite registration the day of the race. Make sure you arrive early. Some of the participants run in costume as there is also a costume contest. You can also register online. There is no onsite registration for the 10K Race.
The cost for the event is: $45 for the 5K, and $20 for the kids race on race day.
What a great way to raise money for the Second Harvest Food Bank, and to get some exercise before eating your Thanksgiving Dinner.
