The Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach is hosting a jazz festival beginning on May 18 through May 20, 2012. For a complete line up, view the website for information and ticket information. Enjoy jazz music from Marion Meadows, Paul Taylor, and Jessy J just to name a few. 

There are several different ticket options including two day lawn seating or single ticket. Enjoy the kick off of summer with this concert series outdoors on the lawn. Enjoy the beach climate while listening to your favorite tunes.

Sherman Library and Gardens is having their 16th Annual Spring Private Garden Tour on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Sherman Library and Gardens is a beautiful place to visit and be sure to bring your camera because you can walk around and just enjoy the beauty in the Corona del Mar climate. Additionally, there are events and weddings which can be arranged there.

Sherman Gardens offers classes are also available to the public for a fee and may include topics such as caring for indoor plants, or classes on Orchids. Visitors are also welcome to come and view Sherman Library and Gardens for a small admission fee at the door. Balboa Island Artwalk in Newport Beach |is going to be held on May 20, 2012

The Balboa Island Artwalk is an outdoor art show on Balboa Island, CA where many artists are set up to display their art. This is a great opportunity to get together with friends and families and enjoy the beautiful art as well as the Newport Beach Climate.

There will also be live music at the Balboa Island Artwalk.  The 2012 Artwalk will be held on Sunday, May 20th from 9am to 5pm along the South Bayfront Promenade of Balboa Island.  This is an annual event which marks the beginning of summer on Balboa Island.

And this event is free!!!

The OC Marathon wil lbe held on May 6, 2012. This marathon starts on Newport Center Drive in front of  the official start at the  the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel. The marathon course travels through the beautiful cities of  Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana. 

The Full Marathon will Finish at the OC Fair and Event Center.

The kids run Race Day will be held on May 5, 2012.

Because of the marathon, there will be some street closures in and around Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.

Newport Shores in Newport Beach is hosting their annual garage sale coming up on May, 19, 2012. The garage sale begins bright and early and the bargain shoppers start out early.

It is a great time to clean out your closets, drawers, and your garage. Turn your items into some cash! Also, this is a great opportunity to walk around the neighborhood and meet and greet your neighbors. It is always a fun event.

And at the end, if you do not sell everything,  electronic recycling containers will be located on Canal Circle.

Additionally, there will be a charity to come by and pick up un-sold items.

The 65th Newport to Ensenada Yacht race gets underway on April 27, 2012. This is the 65th year of the Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race. It is an exciting event and for those who participate in the race. 

There will be a pre-race party which is the Lexus N2E Race Launch Party and some race boats will be displayed. One of my favorite local musicians the Mark Wood Parrott Head Band will be entertaining as well.  This event will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012 from 12-4 p.m. This event is hosted by Explore Ocean and will be at the Balboa Fun Zone.

A great place to watch is at the Balboa Pier in Newport Beach. The viewing of the Newport to Ensenada Yacht Racebegins starts at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012.

Newport Beach Boat Show | Newport Beach, CA | 2012

The Newport Beach Boat Show is going to be held beginning on April 19, 2012, 2011 to May 22, 2012 at Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach. The hours for the Newport Beach Boat Show will be as follows:

Thursday:  10:00 am  - 7pm
Friday: 10am – 7pm
Saturday: 10am – 7pm
Sunday: 10am – 5pm

If you are just browsing, it is a great opportunity to come on down to Lido Marina Village in Newport Beach and peruse the stunning yachts. There are sailboats, and other vendors to provide information regarding the boating industry.

Admission is $15 for adults, and children 12 and under are free.

Newport Shores in Newport Beach is having an Easter Egg hunt for the children who reside in Newport Shores. The Newport Shores Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 10 am. All those who want to participate and hunt for eggs, have your children ready by 10 am at the Newport Shores Club House.
