Bella Bleu in Costa Mesa is hosting a fashion show featuring the Newport Harbor Varsity Dance Team coming up on Saturday, January 28, 2012. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Newport Harbor High Dance Team Arreis.

The Fashion Show details are as follows:

New Year’s Eve in Newport Beach, CA 2012

New Year’s Eve is coming up this weekend and hopefully you have already planned your Newport Beach New Year’s Eve festivities. There are many of pre-planned New Years Eve events in the Newport Beach area, and I would recommend making your plans right away so you can have a great New Year’s Eve and bring in 2012.

Why not go out to the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach and enjoy their festivities.

Consider a dinner at 930 Sushi in Newport Beach, and enjoy some delicious sushi.

If you are considering dining in Corona del Mar, try out the Quiet Woman. It is a personal favorite.

I have provided some New Year’s Eve plans here in Newport Beach and Corona del Mar, please contact the restaurants directly to make sure that they have reservations, and to inquire if it is a pre-planned menu.

Merry Christmas from Newport Beach, CA

Today is Christmas Eve and I am writing this post to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday season. I was walking around Fashion Island today enjoying the holiday and wanted to share a photo of the Fashion Island Christmas Tree.

Christmas is a time for families and friends, and am hoping that you all have a beautiful holiday season, and you will enjoy all the positive that accompanies it.

I hope you all enjoy the holiday season whether it is Christmas or Hanukkah. It is a time for us to be together with our families and our friends.

The 2012 Rose Parade | Pasadena, CA

The 2012 Rose Parade is an annual tradition held in Pasadena, CA. I have fond memories of the Rose Parade because it was a family tradition – on New Year’s Day to get up and watch the parade. We saw it live also many times, camping out along the parade route prior to the parade. One of the funnest nights I remember was when my Dad parked his motorhome right along Colorado Boulevard, and the whole family sat on top of the motor home watching the parade.

So, to this day, I enjoy watching the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day and consider it a tradition. I think the floats are so beautiful and they have evolved over the years.

This Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA will be held on January 2, 2012 and it begins at 8am. It is being held on January 2, 2012 because of church services on Sunday. The Grand Marshall for the 2012 Rose Parade is J.R. Martinez who is a retired soldier, actor and he was recently the Dancing with the Stars champion. Enjoy watching all the floats, equestrian units and marching bands who come from all over the country.

The Rose Parade this year is sponsored by Honda.

New Year’s Eve in Newport Beach, CA

It’s not too early to start planning your Newport Beach New Year’s Eve festivities. There are lots of pre-planned events in the Newport Beach area, and I would recommend making your plans right away so you can have a great New Year’s Eve and bring in 2012.

The Newport Beach Hyatt is having a New Year’s Even dinner at their restaurant Sol.

The Infamous Tee Room is having an event.

Enjoy Newport Harbor while bringing in the New Year on the Wild Goose in Newport Beach, or a cruise on a Hornblower yacht.

One of my favorite places is the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach, and enjoy New Years at the First Cabin Restaurant.

The OC Fairgrounds is hosting the OC Fair New Year’s’ Eve Block Party - is offering great fun in a casual setting, no black ties in this setting.

Or, you don’t want to stay in the Newport Beach area, how about a quick flight to Las Vegas for New Year’s eve. Enjoy dinners, concerts, live events in the Las Vegas area.

The Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach

The Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach hosted by the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 103rd annual Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach. The Newport Beach Christmas boat parade will run for five nights and begins on Wednesday, December 14 and ending Sunday, December 18, 2011. The Newport Beach Christmas boat parade starts by Bay Island in Newport Beach, and finishes at the same location at approximately 9:00 pm
.
I was driving down Coast Highway this evening and saw of the yachts with all the decorations on it, and wanted to share a preview with you.

The incredible details on this yacht is incredible and the were still decorating as I was taking photos.

Make sure you get out to see the Newport Beach Christmas boat parade, and hope to see you there.

15th Annual Balboa Island Holiday Home Walking Tour

The Balboa Island Home Walking tour is coming up on this weekend on December 11, 2011. This is a one of the favorite Newport Beach holiday activities. There will be eight decorated beach cottages and bayfront homes on Balboa Island in Newport Beach. These homes will be decorated in a unique manner, and to continue to enjoy the holiday season in Newport Beach.

Make sure that you visit the stores and shops on Marine Avenue for all of your Holiday shopping. Also enjoy refreshments as well.

The walking holiday home tour is a great opportunity to continue with the holiday activities and enjoy the community. The walking holiday home tour is held on Balboa Island in Newport Beach.

The Balboa Island Walking Holiday Home Tour is a home tour, and an opportunity to view some of the beautiful homes that are decorated with holiday decor.

Tickets for the event are $25 each. The following stores including Even Sisters, Island Home, Martha’s Bookstore, Persimmon Tree, and The Gift Box will have tickets available for this event. Newport Shores Holiday Home Tour – December 4, 2011

The Holiday season is upon us, and for the Newport Shores residents bring in the Holiday Season with the Newport Shores Annual Home Tour. The price of the ticket helps to raise funds for gifts for the military troops stationed in Iraq.

The Newport Shores Annual Home Tour is going to be held on this Sunday, December 4th from 2pm to 5pm which is this weekend. Invite your friends and family and tour the beautifully decorated Newport Shores homes and bring in the holiday season.

I have hosted my home a few years ago with the Newport Shores Annual Home Tour and it is a great opportunity to meet with your friend and neighbors, raise funds, and bring in holiday cheer!

Ticket prices are as follows: Prior to the event and up to December 1st will cost $15.

Tickets are also available the day of the event for $20 per person.

33rd Annual Corona del Mar Christmas Walk

The 33rd annual Corona del Mar Christmas walk will be held this weekend on December 4, 2011 from 11am to 4pm. This is a great time to walk the Village of Corona del Mar and enjoy all the festivities at the Corona del Mar Christmas walk.

Enjoy restaurant tastings, beer and wine garden, bounce houses for kids, and enjoying time with friends and family. Last year – it rained but it did not dampen anyone’s spirits!

The 32nd Annual Corona del Mar Christmas Walk is hosted by the Corona del Mar Chamber of Commerce, is an event with holiday festivities for all to enjoy. Thousands of people who visit the Village of Corona del Mar and peruse the stores, and enjoy the festivities.

There will be unique vendor exhibits, the Fireman’s BBQ, Santa Visits, and carolers to inspire you for the holiday season. Enjoy the decorations, and the dolphin topiary that are decorated for the holiday season.

Also, there will be live music and Pinch Me! is headlining the event in the lower parking lot by Bandera’s parking lot at 11:30 am.

Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach

The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 103rd annual Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach. The Newport Beach Christmas boat parade will run for five nights and begins on Wednesday, December 14 and ending Sunday, December 18, 2011. The Newport Beach Christmas boat parade starts by Bay Island in Newport Beach, and finishes at the same location at approximately 9:00 pm.

On the last night of the parade on December 18, 2011, there will be fireworks in addition to the parade. And there are awards for the decorations and that is held on January 27, 2012 at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach.

There are many locations to watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat parade. You can view it from many restaurants including The Chart House in Newport Beach, Rusty Pelican in Newport Beach, Villa Nova or the Balboa Bay Club to name a few. I would recommend making resesrvations for any of the restaurants as they fill up quickly.

It is an incredible parade, and in fact this year Newport Beach made the number two spot for Christmas and holiday lights in the United States. Boat owners decorate their yachts with an incredible array of lights and props. It is something to see.
