Looking for Memorial Day activities? Memorial Day is coming up on May 25, 2015, and it will be a three day weekend this weekend for you to enjoy.

There are many activities to consider and enjoy this weekend.

Visit Catalina Island – it is about an hour trip on the Catalina Flyer, and you can visit for a day, or perhaps make arrangements to stay. It is a pedestrian (mostly – there are some golf carts) city and easy to walk around. You can dive (snorkel or Scuba). There is a lot to do on Catalina Island.

Visit Disneyland and the 24 Hour Kick Off Celebration – begins on Friday May 22, 2015 until 6 am on May 23, 2015. This is the kick off for the salute to Disney for 60 years!!

The Balboa Bay Resort is hold the Newport Beach Wine Festival from May 22-24, 2015. It is a celebration of fine wines, beer, and delicious cuisine over Memorial Weekend at Balboa Bay Resort.

Visit the Fun Zone located in Newport Beach. There is a Ferris Wheel and there is dining and shopping as well.

Rent a Duffy Boat at Duffy of Newport Beach which is located on Coast Highway.

And of course, visit the beach in Newport Beach. Anywhere from the Wedge up to 68th Street. Newport Beach is a popular destination and the beaches are wonderful. Be sure to check with lifeguards about the ocean conditions and the surf report. Be cautious of rip currents, and if the waves are big!! And be sure to bring sunscreen.
