Residents enjoy living in this area for the lifestyle, as you can walk to dining and shopping. There are events in CDM including a sandcastle contest annually which is a local favorite.

The schools in Corona del Mar are very established, and the elementary school is Harbor View Elementary which is located on Goldenrod north of the highway, and the middle and high school is Corona del Mar High School.
