The California Lifeguard Regional Competition was held in Newport Beach yesterday right by the Newport Beach Pier. The lifeguard organizations were from Southern California and included participation from Huntington State Beach Lifeguard Association.
There were many different events including a run – swim – run and dory boat races. There will be the Lifeguard Nationals later this summer which will be held in New Jersey.

The day before this event, the Junior Lifeguards competed at Newport Beach also.
