48th Annual Sandcastle Contest in Corona del Mar
The 48th annual Sandcastle Contest was held yesterday, October 4th, 2009 in Corona del Mar. The weather was perfect for this Corona del Mar event, and we went down to view the sandcastles under construction as well as the finished products or sandcastles. There were several teams, and right at 2pm a horn was sounded for the conclusion of the construction on the sandcastles at Big Corona in Corona del Mar. Corona del Mar is a beautiful community which has beautiful homes for sale in Corona del Mar, and condos for sale in Corona del Mar.
You can see the detail that is created. Many of the contestants utilized shells, seaweed for accessories, and the detail was created with trowels, brushes, and very creative people.
There were lots of people, and the judges rode by on the Newport Beach Lifeguard truck to vote for the most creative Sandcastle.
