Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was held in Newport Beach at Fashion Island yesterday September 27, 2009. I participated in this event with my family, and what an amazing experience. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure attendance was approximately 30,000 people. There were participants racing in honor of others who are survivors, and there were survivors as well that raced.
It was a foggy morning in Newport Beach, and there were actually two races, one began at 7:30 and the other one began at 9:45. Also, there was an incredible dedication ceremony to the survivors of this disease. By 12:00 noon yesterday, over $2.5 million dollars had been raised.

My 3 teenagers are doing this. We have never done anything like this before and need instruction on what we need to do. Please help. Thank you.
HI Michelle – you need to register for the race and you can do that at OCKomen.com or you can register in person at Fashion Island (downstairs foodcourt). They will give you tees and a race bib. The day of the race, arrive early as it gets packed (last year over 30,000 people) so you can get parking and walk to start line. It is an amazing event, let me know if you need anything else.
